At the heart of Green pHriday is our commitment is to environmental sustainability. Instead of indulging in the excesses that often characterize Black Friday, we take a greener route by planting trees and supporting urban farming initiatives. For every purchase made during the Green pHriday event, we will be donating to a wonderful organic farming NGO this year, Abalimi Bezekhaya. Exceptional Discounts and a Noble Cause
This year, our Green pHriday supports a wonderful and worthy cause; Abalimi Bezekhaya. Abalimi Bezekhaya means farmers of the home in isiXhosa and was in established 1982. We are a non-profit organisation (NPO and PBO) that supports micro-farmers in the Cape Flats townships to grow vegetables organically. We enable individuals and groups within the community to grow their own vegetable gardens at home, community or institutional gardens with the purpose to encourage food security and create livelihoods.
Our Black Friday turned Green pHriday campaign will run from Friday 24th November until Cyber Monday 27th November and offers customers a chance to enjoy guilt-free shopping with a generous 35% discount sitewide. Shoppers can revel in the thrill of Black Friday shopping while knowing that their purchases are contributing to a greener world and a healthier, more sustainable community.
