New Market Opens in Stellenbosch

New Market Opens in Stellenbosch

Posted by Nicole Sherwin on

The Wild Clover Market, a new and exciting family market opens its doors on Saturday 28 February 2015. The market will offer locals and tourists a wide variety of delicious food options, fun activities for the kids, themed events and some light entertainment for the entire family.

This new addition to the wine route market scene will host its very own Carnival throughout the month of March.  Kids can enjoy all the thrills of a traditional Carnival with a host of exciting rides including a ‘merry go round’ and ‘Ferris wheel’ as well as a combination of unique activities including a petting zoo, jumping castles and puppet shows to mention a few. For families it will be an ideal weekend activity with no entrance fee and the comfort of enjoying a pizza or sipping on some craft beer while the kids are entertained.

“The emphasis is definitely on family and this was the rationale behind creating a kids Carnival as our first themed event” explains Luke Shadrach, Manager of the Wild Clover Market. “While most markets offer kids great activities, the Carnival in the centre of the market is quite unique, complete with fun rides, clowns, games, candy and streams of colour.”

Market goers will have ample options with over 50 vendors offering a delightful mix of food options from homemade delicacies to fresh produce and a host of art of craft stalls. The Carnival will be open from 28 February 2015 to 29 March 2015 on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 to 16:00 and entry is free plus there’s ample parking available.
